David Leech Architects
David Leech Architects was established in 2016 by David Leech after 13 years working in a several European offices including Herzog de Meuron in Basel, Caruso St John architects and 6a architects in London, and dePaor architects and Grafton architects in Dublin.
Although new the practice has been awarded several international architectural prizes for its first works including the Architecture Association of Ireland Award 2018, the World Architecture Festival House of the Year 2018, the Architects Journal Small Project of the year Award 2019, the American Institute of Architects UK Young Architect 2019 and the AR House 2019. The practice was a recipient of an Arts Council Bursary grant in 2018 for its research on the idea of a ‘richly economic’ architecture.
David has lectured on the projects and the new studio in the UK and in Europe including a talk on the work of the practice as part of the Architecture Foundation’s Architecture on Stage series in June 2019. The practice has been invited to exhibit their most recent project, a house for an engineer, at the Trienal de Arquitectura de Lisboa in October 2019
David teaches architecture at the Cass School of Architecture, London Metropolitan University, and has reviewed at numerous universities throughout Europe.
