Russ is design partner at Farrells responsible for complex, mixed-use new build architecture and urban regeneration projects; building concept development from theory through to detailed interior design is a specialism. Russ has lead the design on high profile public and cultural buildings, including the RIBA and World Architecture award winning Great North Museum. He was responsible for the concepts and design development of the interiors for the new Home Office project.
Russ has extensive experience of working in conservation areas with listed buildings and achieving successful planning consents for projects such as the Grade 1 listed Royal Institution of Great Britain and 7 Albemarle Street in Mayfair; the Pantechnicon Building in Belgravia; St Ermin’s Hotel in St James and the London Clinic in Marylebone. Russ has excellent mixed use architecture and master planning experience with private and institutional clients leading on projects such as the Embassy Gardens development at Nine Elms, the new strategic spacial masterplan for The British Library and the successful HLF bid masterplan for Alexandra Palace.
