Mary Duggan Architects
Mary Duggan BA(Hons) Dip Arch RIBA RIAI, Founding Director of Mary Duggan Architects graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture in 1997 with Distinction and was a founding director of Duggan Morris Architects from 2004-2017. Mary Duggan was established in March 2017.
During her time at Duggan Morris Architects, the practice attained numerous industry awards for design excellence including ten RIBA National and Regional Awards, three Civic Trust Awards, three Nominations for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture - Mies van der Rohe Award, The Stephen Laurence Prize, The Manser Medal and achieved consideration for the RIBA Stirling Prize for three buildings. The work of Duggan Morris Architects is widely published in many international journals including the Architectural Review, Domus, Detail and Baumeister and nationally the Architects Journal, Architecture Today & the RIBA Journal.
Mary has served on many design review panels for governing authorities including the London Borough of Lewisham Design Review Panel and the RIBA Education Committee, and has been a judge for a number of awards including the RIBA International, National and Regional Awards, The Stephen Lawrence Prize, The Manser Medal, the RIBA House of the year, the RIBA Bronze Medal and the Architects Journal Building of the Year. Mary is a member of the London Festival of Architecture (LFA) Panel, the RIBA Awards Panel and International Awards Panel. Mary is currently involved in design tutoring, visiting design critiques, RIBA Part 3 examinations and external examining at a number of Schools of Architecture including the Bartlett School of Architecture UCL, Oxford Brookes University and Brighton University. Mary has written critiques and provided commentary for numerous architectural journals including the Architectural Review, Building Design and the Architects Journal.
Mary was nominated for Woman Architect of the Year in 2014.
