Founder and director
Bureau de Change

Billy Mavropoulos is co-founder and director of Bureau de Change, a London-based practice which he founded with Katerina Dionysopoulou in 2013. The practice works across a range of typologies and scales from product and furniture design to major refurbishment and new-builds, combining pragmatism and formality with playfulness, innovation and beauty in every project. Billy trained at Foster+Partners after graduating from the Royal College and worked as an independent consultant on projects for the Tate Modern, Tate Britain and Selfridges prior to setting up his own practice. Recent projects include the Interlock, a mixed-use development in central London with an intricate brick façade. He combines teaching with practice, running an undergraduate unit at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
